TRAINING Information

Elizabeth has studied directly with many professional trainers. Training is her passion and she reads extensively about all types of training techniques and studies the psychology of training.

Her diverse training experiences provide her with the ability to approach each problem with a variety of creative potential solutions. In some cases Elizabeth may try several techniques before discovering the right solution for that particular horse, rider and their issue.

When you work with Elizabeth you benefit from all of the following training methods - and more!

LINDA TELLINGTON-JONES

The Tellington TTouch finds areas in a horse's body that indicate tension, fear of contact, soreness or discomfort. Specific touches and movements improve self-image and self-confidence. The TTouch has been used extensively to speed healing and recovery from injury and illness in horses. Attitude and behavior also can be positively influenced with the TTouch.

KAREN PRYOR

Clicker trainers provide consequences desired by their animal in exchange for actions or behaviors desired by their trainers. We call these consequences “rewards” and the process is called “reinforcement.” Clicker training, therefore, is a positive-reinforcement-based system of training.

DAVID LICHMAN

As one of Pat Parelli's top rated instructors, David travels all over the world helping people to get extraordinary results with horses. He has handled thousands of horses at hundreds of clinics, from every breed and discipline, but his specialty is working with gaited horses.

JOHN LYONS

Many of today’s training principles found their roots in John’s common-sense approach to people and horses. His teaching methods have continually evolved over the years as a result of working with his best teachers – thousands of horses.
